Beauty is a general term which doesn’t fade off. From Egyptian civilisations to this generation, people always run around the term “Beautiful”. Definitely, generations changed the definition of beauty from mere physical appearance. Nowadays, beauty denotes physically, mentally, and spiritually fit and confident.
There are certain factors which affect the overall skin health and hampers its healthy look. Among that, in this issue of the magazine, we will discuss 3 major factors and other factors will be continued in further articles.
Climate
Extreme climate is always a nightmare for skin health. As per ayurveda, in this season of Vasanta ritu, both the effects of winter and summer will be there. Dryness and suntan are the major villains. It is easy to remove the suntan with some simple home remedies. One among them is shared here. Take a tablespoon of fine coffee powder, add one tsp of nimbu juice, one tsp of rice flour, one pinch of turmeric and mix all those with the necessary quantity of honey. Make the mixture into a paste form and apply this evenly in face (Better to do a patch test in hand before application). After 15- 20 minutes it can be washed off with lukewarm water. A gentle moisturising with coconut oil will be ideal to remove the dryness.
Over Use of Cosmetics
To combat fair skin, excess use of cosmetics is very common nowadays which in turn led to many toxicities including reproductive and developmental disorders. So timely removal of makeup is necessary. Micellar water can easily be prepared at home better than the chemical ones. First, clear the makeup with a cotton pad dipped in coconut oil and rub it well. Micellar water can be prepared with mixing of rose water, liquid lecithin, vegetable glycerine, argan oil and aloe vera concentrate in a proportion. This can be applied in required quantities with the help of a cotton pad and later wiped off.
Diet
Nutrition is closely associated with skin health. Trace elements like zinc, copper, iron, iodine etc had proven results in nurturing skin immunity and reducing wrinkles, facial fine lines etc. so, food items rich in macro and micronutrients serves as an essential part for a healthy skin. Major food items include antioxidant rich pumpkin seeds, legumes, and cereals etc and fruits such as pomegranate, wild blueberries, avocado, banana etc serves the purpose of nurturing well.
So, in a broad aspect, to look beautiful, do the things that make you confident. Simply, wearing a pleasant smile can make you most beautiful and fills yours as well as others life with positivity.
