Beauty has a got socio-medical importance nowadays. Beauty doesn’t mean to have a well-built body with a fair complexion; it means to have a healthy mind & body with healthy skin whether it is darker or fairer.
Let’s have some home remedies which can be effectively used for improving our skin health.
- FOR REMOVING SUNTAN – tan, a word which has frightened a lot many us to expose to sunlight. Even a sunny day becomes a villain to beauty conscious ones. It is easy to remove the suntan with some home remedy. Take a tablespoon of fine coffee powder, add one tsp of nimbu juice, one tsp of rice flour, one pinch of turmeric and mix all those with necessary quantity of honey. Make the mixture into a paste form and apply this evenly in the face (Better to do a patch test in hand before application). After 15- 20 minutes it can be washed off with lukewarm water. You can see the glowing skin with an immediate effect.
- NATURAL CLEANSER & MOISTURIZER – now a day, dry skin and ageing have been very common due to climatic variation. We are forced to use chemical-filled moisturizers in our day to day for the same. With natural home remedies, we can maintain beautiful healthy skin. Coconut water is the best cleanser as well as a moisturizer. Even coconut milk can also be applied by dipping in a cotton pad and we can cleanse the face well. Doing face wash with coconut water in the early morning hours helps to maintain healthy glowing skin.
- NATURAL LIP BALMS – lip balms have become a necessity of our life. It will be interesting to prepare natural lip balms at home. Take one big beetroot and prepare juice of it in a mixer. Add this juice to a small pan and add ghee along with this and heat the mixture in very slow heat. After some time the mixture gets properly mixed up and thick form in a balm consistency. After cooling, it can be kept in the fridge for even up to one month. You will get beautiful, pink softy lips without any added chemicals.
- HAIR GROWTH & PREVENTING GREY HAIR – hair has got a bigger part in maintaining the cosmetic sense of a person. The cosmetic aspect doesn’t depend on the length of the hair, whether it is short or long, healthy hair is needed. For maintaining healthy hair, we can make a hair pack which can be applied once a week or in 15 days. Take a handful of curry leaves and make it into a paste. Add some organic henna powder to this paste and mix it properly by adding tea. This hair pack can be prepared and kept overnight in an iron container. The next day it can be applied and kept for minimum of 45-60 minutes followed by a normal wash without any shampoo. In the first application, itself, you can find healthy smooth and shiny hair without any keratin like treatments.
- NATURAL MANICURE – healthy shining nails are a marker of overall health. In Ayurveda asthi dhathu plays an important role in maintaining the health of nails. For doing an Ayurvedic manicure, the whole hand can be soaked for 10 minutes in a tumbler filled with water added with lemon juice and rosewater. After that, clean and cut the nails properly. After drying, jathyadi kera soaked in a cotton swab can be applied to the nails of both arms. Jathyadi kera prevents the damage caused to nails and promotes good nail growth.
