Aloe Vera laddu is the best and yummiest way to eat aloe vera. We all have heard about the goodness of aloe vera and its health benefits. We can find lots of juices, creams, and gels with aloe vera to improve our health, skin, and hair. At home, you can have its juice, and make its sabzi but its bitter taste makes it difficult to eat. Here, I’m sharing a delicious aloe Vera recipe without bitterness.
Ingredients:
Milk – 1 liter
Aloe vera gel – 300 grams
Cow Ghee – 250 grams
Whole wheat flour – 500 grams
Powdered sugar – 300 grams
Roasted 10 chopped Almonds
Kishmish/raisins – 10
Cardamom powder – 3-4 pinch
Black pepper powder – 2 pinch
Preparation:
- First, wash aloe vera leaves and cut their sides and then cut it in half and remove all the green parts to get the gel. It is a bit slippery, so we must be careful.
- While removing the green part, keep the gel part in water otherwise it will get bitter in taste.
- When you have taken out all the gel, take it out from the water and weigh it to 300g.
- Heat milk in a thick-bottomed pan. Only heating is required, no need of boiling. Add collected aloe vera gel in the milk quickly and stir well.
- Let it cook on high flame. This milk aloe vera gel mixture is prepared on high flame, and you have to stir it continuously so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. It takes around 30 to 35 minutes. The mixture will get concentrated and thick, it will start coming together. This time turn off the gas.
- Let the mixture cool a little then blend it to get a smooth mixture as we can see chunks of aloe vera in it.
- Put it back on flame. Add black pepper powder and cook for another 7 to 10 minutes till it becomes thick and start leaving the sides. Leave it aside to cool.
- We can keep this mixture in the fridge for up to 2 days for storage purposes.
- Now, Heat ghee in a thick-bottomed pan and add whole wheat flour and cook on medium or low flame till the flour changes its color to brown. It will take around 10 minutes. Keep on stirring continuously to ensure even cooking.
- When wheat flour is almost cooked, add almonds into it so that they also get slightly roasted.
- Add aloe vera gel mawa to the cooked atta and cook for 2 more minutes stirring continuously. (If we are using leftover mawa, make sure it should be in room temperature)
- Pour this mixture onto a plate smeared with ghee and allow it to cool slightly so that it is warm enough to give shape and cool enough to handle.
- Add powdered sugar (according to your taste), cardamom powder and raisins. Mix thoroughly.
- Give shape to the laddu and have one daily and enjoy it…!!!
