The first WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit will take place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from August 17-18, 2023, and will be co-hosted by WHO and Govt. of India, which holds the presidency of G20, 2023. A meeting was chaired by special secretary MoA Shri PK Pathak with WHO HQ and other officials for discussing the summit where Shri Pathak said that Ministry of Ayush extends full support to WHO (GCTM) summit. WHO-GCTM summit is being held alongside G20 Health Ministerial meeting. The summit will serve as a forum for all
stakeholders to exchange best practises and ground-breaking information about how traditional medicine contributes to sustainable development and health, including practitioners, users, communities, policymakers, international organizations, academics, private sector, and civil society organizations.
