Prof Rabinarayan Acharya, DG, CCRAS gets the prestigious D. Sc. from Utkal University

Prof. Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of CCRAS, has been conferred the prestigious D.Sc. (Doctor of Science) degree by Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He is the first in India to receive a D.Sc. in Ayurveda (Dravyaguna). His research focused on the ethnomedicinal plants of Odisha’s Gandhamardan Hills and their potential to enhance the Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia. The thesis was titled “Phyto-Pharcognostical and Biological Evaluation of Certain Extra-Pharmacopoeial Plants (Anukta Dravya) of Ayurveda Available in Odisha.”
