“Health in the rainy season is not just about shelter – it’s about smart choices. Monsoon is a time of inward journey – let Ayurveda guide your path to wellness.”
In India, Varsha Ritu (Rainy Season) lasts from mid-July to mid-September.
Varsha Ritu comers under Dashinayana or Visarga kala (Southern solstice i.e. southward movement of the sun). During this season, all the doshas goes out of balance, so Ayurveda strongly recommends Panchakarma therapies (bio-purification), as Agni (digestive fire) weakens during monsoon causing digestion related issues, body strength is low and there is aggravation of Vata dosha, deposition of Pitta dosha. During this season, the predominant rasa is Amla (sour) and mahabhuta is Prithvi and Agni.
“The rain awakens the earth, and Ayurveda awakens the body to heal in harmony with the season.”

Through ayurvedic rituals like Panchakarma therapies, herbal therapies, steeped in oils and mindful nourishment, the body is gently cleansed, detoxified, rebalanced and the spirit uplifted. As the rains cleanse the earth, ayurvedic monsoon practices cleanse the self – reminding us that true wellness flows not just from remedies, but from rhythm, reverence and a return to balance with the natural world.
