Ingredients
Ragi Flour (Finger Millet Flour): 2 tbsp
Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry) Powder: 1 tsp
Cow Milk: 1 cup
Pomegranate Seeds: 2 tbsp
Chopped Dates: 2
Chia Seeds: 1 tsp (soaked)
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon Powder: 1/4 tsp
Black Pepper Powder: 1/4 tsp
Jaggery Powder: 1-2 tsp (optional, as per taste)
Crushed Almonds or Walnuts: 1 tbsp
Preparation Method
- In a pan, bring the cow milk to a boil and simmer it for 1-2 minutes.
- Dry roast the Ragi flour in another pan until it releases a nutty aroma.
- Gradually add the boiled milk to the roasted Ragi flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook on low heat until it thickens.
- Mix in Amalaki powder, turmeric powder, cinnamon, and black pepper powder. Stir well and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped dates and jaggery powder (if needed).
- Mix until dissolved.
- Pour the porridge into a bowl and garnish with pomegranate seeds, soaked chia seeds, and crushed almonds or walnuts.
- Consume warm !!!
