As the prevalence of Ayurveda medicine grows worldwide, WHO has also established a Traditional
Research Center at Jamnagar in Gujarat, this expo offers an opportunity for Gujarat to develop
as a hub for Ayurveda in India and globally. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister of
India, Mr. Narendra Modi, significant progress has been made in the development of Ayurveda
and the Ayush medical system. Gujarat is advancing in the manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicine,
with over 40 Ayurveda Colleges, more than 600 Government Ayurveda Hospitals, and over 1000
Private Ayurveda Health Centers and Multi-Specialty Ayurveda Hospitals in the state. This will
increase awareness and confidence in the Ayurveda system of medicine among citizens, leading
to greater adoption of Ayurveda and Ayush medical practices.
