India and Tanzania Sign MoU on Cooperation in the Field of Traditional Systems of Medicine and Indian Ayurveda During the Ministerial Round Table held as part of the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Ayush (MoA), Government of India, and the World Health Organization (WHO), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and the Ministry of Health, United Republic of Tanzania on 19th December 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The MoU was signed by the Hon’ble Minister of Ayush( Independent Charge), Government of India, Shri Prataprao Jadhav , and the Hon’ble Minister of Health, United Republic of Tanzania, Mohamed Omary Mchengerwa in the presence of the the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) , Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Hon’ble Ministers from different countries as well as representatives from WHO. The MoU aims to foster mutual exchange of knowledge, training, research, and teaching in the field of traditional medicine — paving the way for global wellness partnerships and greater accessibility to holistic healthcare solutions.
