During the 16th Annual Meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO)– International Regulatory Cooperation for Herbal Medicines (WHO–IRCH), Jakarta, Indonesia. Dr. Raghu Arackal, Advisor (Ayurveda) & Deputy Director General (I/c), Ayush Vertical DGHS made a country presentation on India, highlighting the nation’s robust regulatory framework for traditional and herbal medicines, progress in pharmacopoeia standardization, evidence-based integration of Ayush systems into public health, and international collaborations for ensuring quality, safety, and efficacy of herbal products. This also reflects India’s role as a key global partner in shaping harmonized policies and advancing the international recognition of traditional medicine systems.
The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) successfully concluded the 1st International Conference on Psychosocial Support and Mental Health Services in Disaster Management held from October 10–12, 2025, at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru. In light of the upcoming 2nd WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit, Secretary Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, met with Secretary (West), Sibi George at the Ministry of External Affairs. The summit is scheduled from 17-19 December 2025.
