On 26th November 2024, the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and the KEMENTERIAN KESIHATAN MALAYSIA, convened the 9th Bilateral Technical Meeting (BTM). The Indian delegation was led by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, and included Vaidya Debashis Panda, Joint Adviser, Ministry of Ayush; Prof. Senthilvel from National Institute of Siddha, Chennai, IN; and Dr. Nirmala Devi from CCRUM.

The attendees of the event also included Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Shri Raghubar Das, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble M.P. of Puri Shri Dr. Sambit Patra and the Hon’ble MLA of Puri, Shri Sunil Kumar Mohanty.
India introduces the AYUSH Visa, simplifying travel for foreigners seeking traditional Indian medical treatments. The e-AYUSH Visa and e-Attendant Visa streamline access to AYUSH hospitals and wellness centers. This initiative bolsters India’s global wellness tourism, positioning it as a hub for Ayurveda, Yoga, and other holistic healthcare systems.
The Ministry of Ayush has enhanced insurance coverage for holistic healthcare, with 27 insurers offering over 140 AYUSH policy products. Additionally, 172 AYUSH packages will expand access to affordable traditional treatments, promoting financial protection and integrating Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy into mainstream healthcare for a healthier India.
Shri Prataprao Jadhav Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) Ministry of Ayush inaugurated the first Ayush Aushadhi Kendra in India at All India Institute of Ayurveda Campus in New Delhi. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, and Prof. Tanuja Nesari, Director, AIIA, accompanied the Minister during the inauguration.
