A significant step towards expanding Ayurveda treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was taken yesterday, 24.07.2024 with the submission of a comprehensive report on the rationalization of Ayurveda package costs.
The report, prepared by Strategic Purchasing Committee under Ministry of Ayush led by Prof. Bejon Kumar Mishra, Chairman and faculty from the FITM at the RIS, was submitted to Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush. The report is expected to be instrumental in the Ministry of Ayush’s efforts to offer holistic healthcare to beneficiaries under the AB-PMJAY scheme.
The meeting was attended by the representatives from FITM-RIS, Dr. Sarin and Dr. Namrata Pathak and key officials from the Ministry of Ayush, including Sh. B K Singh, Joint Secretary, Dr. Kousthubha Upadhyaya, Advisor (Ayurveda), Dr. A Raghu, DDG, DGHS (Ayush), Dr. Debashis Panda, Joint Advisor (Ayurveda), Vaidya Kusum Thapa, Research Officer (Ayurveda).

On July 12, 2024, the Mission Directorate Meeting of the National Ayush Mission (NAM) was held under the chairmanship of Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush.
The meeting aimed to discuss the State Annual Action Plans for 2024-2025 of six states and one UT, namely Assam, Sikkim, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Punjab, and Chhattisgarh.
The hybrid meeting was attended by Ms. Kavita Garg, Joint Secretary, Ayush, NAM Mission Directorate members, and senior officials from the participating state and UT governments.
The meeting focused on reviewing and finalizing the action plans, aligning with the Ministry of Ayush’s objectives to promote Ayush healthcare and wellness across the country.
