A meeting between a delegation of Thailand headed by Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, DG, DTAM, along with other officials of DTAM and the Ministry of Ayush was held on 17.09.2024 at 10.00 am. The meeting was chaired by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, in the presence of the Joint Secretary (IC), Ministry of Ayush, and other officials of the Ministry at Ayush Bhawan to discuss about the possibilities of collaboration with Thailand on Traditional Medicine under the institute level MoU between the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, and the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM), Thailand, which was signed on 27.02.2024. It was also discussed that an Ayush Chair should be deputed at one university in Thailand. Secretary, Ayush has further proposed to form a JWG (Joint Working Group) with the experts of both sides to further follow up on this collaboration.
