Turmeric
Turmeric may be used as a spice in food on daily basis in Indian cooking but there is more to it than just adding colour or flavour to your food. Using Turmeric
- Mix four teaspoons of Cow’s milk with half teaspoon of Turmeric, make a smooth paste.
- Apply it all over your face and neck, leave it on for 10 minutes.
- Moisten your hands with water and start removing it in circular motions, rinse off with water.
Multani Mitti or Fuller’s Earth

Rose water

Using Rose Water
- Prepare a face mask using two tablespoons of gram flour mixed with one tablespoon of yoghurt and few drops of rose water.
- Apply the paste on your face and neck.
- Leave it on till you feel it’s a bit dry, then rinse off with water.
Sandalwood
Chandan or sandalwood is infused with natural antioxidant properties that enhances the skin beauty. It acts as antiseptic and therefore it helps reduce acne, pimples and enhances the condition of skin, relieving any skin irritation or redness. Additionally, it can help reduce the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation gradually with regular use.
Using Sandalwood
- Take two teaspoons of sandalwood powder and mix it with rose water.
- Apply the paste on your face and neck or the affected area.
- Let it dry and then rinse it off.
- Repeat this process twice a week to ensure you reap maximum benefits of sandalwood.
Lemon and Brown Sugar
Your tender skin of lips requires proper care against chapping, dead skin accumulation and enhancing the beauty of your face. Environmental damage, regular use of chemical-based lip colours and lip gloss leads to darkened lips and damages the tender skin, therefore using natural ingredients you can reduce the damaging effect. Lemon is source of Vitamin C that is brightening agent, honey naturally hydrates the skin and brown sugar acts as natural skin scrub that is gentle on the delicate skin of your lips.
Using Lemon & Sugar
- Mix two teaspoons of brown sugar with few drops of lemon and honey.
- Apply it on your lips and gently massage for a minute.
- Rinse off with water.
- Make it your pre bed time ritual once a week to restore natural colour of your lips.
