In a significant stride toward globalizing the technical aspects of Yoga, the World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, successfully concluded its consultation on 29th July 2025. Held in a hybrid format, the meeting focused on developing a comprehensive Technical Report on Yoga Training.
In his keynote address, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, commended the dedicated efforts of the expert drafting group for their contributions to the initial draft of the report.
He reaffirmed India’s strong commitment to WHO’s global traditional medicine agenda and emphasized the importance of advancing holistic, person-centred healthcare through time-tested and scientifically validated traditional practices like Yoga.
Extending the sincere appreciation Ms. Monalisa Dash, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Ayush applauded the thoughtful work of the expert drafting group for laying down the foundation of the technical report.
